Drummer Duck Scott Interview Part II
Last year we sat down with Duck Scott on his 70th birthday to talk about his life in jazz in Philadelphia. In Part II, he discusses being mentored by drummer Philly Joe Jones and his first gig playing at the Heritage House with a band called the Symbolics. Scott talks about life with his famous mother, moving to North Jersey and then moving back to Philly as a teenager. His work with Maceo Parker, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Wild Bill Davis, and Groove Holmes.
