Pianist Tom Lawton Part III
Tom Lawton talks about working Periwinkles on Chestnut Street and sitting in at the Olympia Lounge at 52nd and Baltimore with Gerald Price in the 1970s. Later, we discuss his work with Odean Pope and Bobby Zankel. There are some wonderful stories he tells about playing “If I Were a Bell” with Larry McKenna, and getting yelled at by singer Dottie Clark.
