As part of the Documenting & Interpreting the Philly Jazz Legacy project, in winter-spring 2019 project staff and advisors conducted oral history interviews with five longtime Philadelphia jazz musicians: saxophonist Robert “Bootsie” Barnes, bassist Mike Boone, vocalist Justine Keeys, saxophonist Larry McKenna, and saxophonist Sam Reed. The interviewers were chief project advisor Suzanne Cloud, project director Jack McCarthy, and project advisor Diane Turner, and the videographer was Jason Fifield.
